China Finance and Banking Program
China’s finance and banking industry is a booming and fast-paced environment that’s attracted the attention of companies around the world. You’ll visit well-known local and international financial institutions and companies and hear the stories of industry experts and professionals who will share their stories and provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of the Chinese financial and banking sector.
Learn from An Expert
Our summer program starts in one of China’s primary financial centers: Shanghai. With over 1,600 registered financial institutions in this metropolis, it’s a crucial economic hub home to the regional headquarters of many international banks and financial institutions. These are largely concentrated in its financial district East of the Huangpu River, known as Pudong.
Following your stay in Shanghai, you’ll journey to the capital Beijing, another financial heavy weight. Being China’s political and historical heart, it’s the focal point for national policies and regulations. Get an insight into the challenges of operating at the nation’s political center and discover what makes China’s financial world so different from the West. Meeting industry experts and professionals, you’ll hear their stories first-hand and visit companies to directly experience the local environment.
Not only will you get to connect with businesses and professionals, you’ll also learn about Chinese business culture and etiquette. All the information and skills you gain will later culminate in an independent project.
Sightseeing, Activities & Classes
Between attending lectures and taking part in project work, you’ll experience the best Beijing and Shanghai have to offer in the safe hands of our experienced team. You’ll visit iconic attractions like the Bund, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and more. You’ll also take part in a carefully selected range of cultural activities designed to give you a taste of authentic Chinese culture and traditions, including calligraphy, tai chi and mahjong.
During the Finance & Banking Program, students will attend 2 Chinese language classes. Learning with our highly qualified native teachers, you’ll quickly pick up some basics to help enrich your experience.
